Fundraising Update

You are fab fundraisers!

This week alone you've helped us raise £90 from the School Uniform Sale on Monday and £120.80 from Friday afternoon's Year 4 Cake Sale!

Last term's Sainsbury's Lego Cards Sale raised a brilliant £139.22!

Thank you everyone who helped, baked, sold or bought!

Summer Fair - Saturday 22 June

Help! We have no volunteers to run the Summer Fair this year. Please get in touch if you would like to get involved. The 2018 team have put together a great handover so there’s lots of information available to help you along the way. It’s a fantastic way to get to know other parents, plus it's a brilliant day for the children and a super fundraiser for our school.

Here are some of the things you could help with - don't think you have to do everything, just helping with one part is a great way to get involved.

  • Designing posters (or running competition for kids to design them), posting flyers through doors, putting up posters in local shops/businesses, designing the banner for school fence and green, putting info on social media, informing local press.

  • Entertainment (external to school): booking the inflatables, surf board, football club etc.

  • Decorating the school: Making the school a magical place themed on the "currently secret" theme of the fair.

  • Organising the school based entertainment: Inviting the choir, dance groups, drama groups to perform.

  • Organising the class stalls: allocating stalls to classes, sourcing prizes for kids to win, raffle prizes, collecting stuff for tombola, helping kids make treasure jars.

  • Running the BBQ.

  • Organising refreshments: cake stall, drinks hot and cold, ice creams, smoothie bike.

  • Help set up on the day.

  • Help tidying on the day.

For more info or to volunteer please reply to this email or why not come along to the next FoBS meeting. Thank you!

Old Pound Coins

If you happen to have the odd old pound coin lying around at home and you know you'll never get round to taking it to an old fashioned bank, you know, the ones on the High Street with a counter and real people in it (!), then why not donate to them to FoBS - just drop them in to us via the school office - every little helps!

Dates for the diary:-

'Time For A Cuppa' FoBS Coffee Morning in aid of Dementia UK - Friday 1st March, 9-10am at school.

Back by popular demand... Strictly Beauty & Bling Evening - Thursday 4th April - more news coming soon!
