Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you who attended our first FoBS meeting of the year last Friday morning. We were astonished - and really pleased - to see so many new parents there. Let's hope we continue to attract so many people throughout the year!
Stop Press - Change of AGM Date
Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to change the date of the FoBS AGM. The meeting will now take place on 16 October at 7:00pm in the School Hall.
Quiz Night 18 October - We now have a small team of volunteers who are going to organise this event. However, we wil still need a lot of help on the night, especially with setting up before the quiz starts and staffing the bar. Just a 30-minute stint behind the bar would be really useful - you can still take part in the quiz even though you're helping out! We are also looking for someone to help set the questions, so if you fancy yourself as a bit of a brainiac then give us a call!
Christmas Fair Committee
We are still in need of extra help to plan our Christmas Fair. To offer your services please reply to this email.
Tea Towel Project
Attached to this email is a brief description of exactly what is needed to run this project. Have a look and see if you think it could be something you would enjoy overseeing. We already have the packs from the printing company - it just needs someone to coordinate the artwork and ordering process. If you think that could be you, you know what to do!
Forest School Help
Our lovely Miss Whittington has asked us to see if anyone has any old waterproofs that they might consider giving to the school for children to wear during Forest School lessons. Reply to this email if you'd like to donate.
Year 6 Cake Bake
Every year group holds a cake sale at school once per year to help raise money for the school. This year it's the turn of Year 6 first - their cake bake will be held on Friday 27 September after school. Remember to bring some change to pick-up so you can treat yourselves to something yummy!
Second Hand Uniform Sale - There will be a seond hand uniform sale this coming Wednesday from 3pm onwards at the flagpole entrance.
FoBS Volunteers WhatsApp Group
If you think you might be able to spare a bit of time occasionally, even if it's only half an hour, why not join our Volunteers WhatsApp group? Whenever we need people to lend a hand, be it helping to supply refreshments at a meeting or delivering leaflets to advertise our events, we post to the group and if you're available, you just let us know. No pressure! To join the group, simply reply to this email and include your name, child's class and your phone number.
